STANDARD TEAM FAQ

STANDARD TEAM FAQ

FAQ for the STANDARD TEAM version Ruby Palace, Sapphire Palace and other Jewel Palaces.
You can find the Premium version FAQ here.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN PLAY?
For the Standard Team option, you may have a maximum of 5 players. You will want at least 2 for the game.

All players will be on the same team.

CAN WE ALL PLAY ON ONE DEVICE?
No – some puzzles will require players to be in different places at the same time. Each player will be able to explore and click around from their own screen. This can be helpful and sometimes essential for game play!

You will need at least 2 devices per team for the Ruby Palace, but we recommend letting each player use their own device if possible.

For the Sapphire Palace we strongly encourage every player to use their own device.

WHAT TYPE OF DEVICE SHOULD WE USE TO PLAY?
We strongly recommend playing from a computer if possible.

HOW DO WE GET TO THE GAME?
After you check out, they will receive an email with the subject line "Get Ready to Play!" This email will contain a game link for your game! Please forward the email to your teammates.

All players on the same team will use the same game link to access the game. On the welcome page, each player will need to select a DIFFERENT animal character to login for the game.

Once players click their animal, they will be sent to the game lobby where they can wait for their fellow players before entering the game. The games will be linked, but each player will have their own view.

WHAT HAPPENS IF 2 OR MORE PEOPLE CLICK THE SAME ANIMAL TO LOGIN?
This will cause bugs and issues with the game. It is very important that all players on the same team select different animals.

If 2 people select the same animal, then one person can navigate back to the welcome page to select an animal that no one else clicked. You can do this by clicking your browser's back button or closing out the browser tab or window and opening the game link in a new tab or window.

HOW DO PLAYERS COLLABORATE?
Each player will have their own view of the game, but they will all be linked. If one player inputs the correct solution, it will unlock the door for the entire team.

Teams will need to communicate in real time. We strongly recommend using a video chat, but you are welcome to choose something else. There is not a built in chat or video function in the Palace, so teams may choose whichever service / option they prefer

WHY DOES IT SAY OUR GAME HAS NOT BEEN SCHEDULED?
For the Standard Team option, you are not able to schedule a start time or change your team name. Don't worry, though! You may simply start when your group is ready to play as the game link will be live when it is sent.

Also, if you'd like to have your team name changed, please email us at play@palacesphere.com
